The City of Rochester and Monroe County offer free one-day classes in EPA Certified Lead Safe Work Practices. This class is open to anyone (parents, contractors, property owners, tenants, etc) interested in working safely with lead hazards.

“Get the Lead Out,” a 75-minute instructional DVD, which explains and demonstrates lead safe work practices, as taught by EPA-certified instructors, is free to anyone who requests it. Call the Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning (585) 256-2267 x125 to request your free DVD or VHS tape. Also available at area libraries.
Contractor Connections, Contractors who complete the entire lead certification training program will be entitled to discounts and subsidies for hazard control equipment, materials and supplies that could total up to $5,000.00 per project. Call (888) 436-8314 for further information.
