Volunteer Committees

The Coalition does its work through its Volunteer Committees. Please take a few minutes to learn more about the Coalition. Find a role that interests you and then join us.

The Screening and Professional Education Committee works to inform healthcare providers and about lead hazards and advocates for NYS mandated testing of children for exposure to lead at 1 and again at 2 years of age.

The Government Relations Committee
translates the work of the other committees into actionable legislative and regulatory initiatives and provides legal and legislative insight to Coalition discussions.

The Finance Committee manages the Coalition’s financial records and makes monthly status reports to the Board of Directors.

The Education and Outreach Committee guides the outreach, educational, and media activities of the Coalition.

The Science Committee monitors the latest research about lead poisoning and ensures that all members of the Coalition have a sound scientific basis for the conclusions we reach and the actions we advocate.

Unless otherwise noted, all committee meetings take place at the Finger Lakes Health Systems Agency located at 1150 University Ave. Please click here for directions.
